A large Bokhara Suzani of the ruijo type – a ceremonial bedspread for the wedding night. The plain centre has been cut out, probably because the embroidery was destined for use as a door surround. The upper horizontal panel and lateral “arms” are decorated with large circular and fan-shaped blossoms encircled by green vines. – Good condition.
